Salmonella Dub Soundsystem come armed with 12’ vinyl FOR ALL THINGS ALIVE and KIWI KIDS ARE REMIX KID’s the Soundsystem’s live video mashup of the Dubs 30 year back catalogue of classics & remixed anthems.

Salmonella Dub originator Andrew Penman aka DJ Rudeboy has added Tuhoe soul diva Whirimako Black to lift the roof with the Mighty Asterix & Salmonella Dub's horn section who have returned from Oz to rehearse a 2hr space weaving journey through the bass-lands of the bands classic Aotearoa heart-beat Dub, switch licking jungle & DnB.

"This is Salmonella Dub Soundsystem's first run of shows since lock-down 2020. So cool to finally have Asterix, Mish & Si back from Oz and Salmonella Dub’s Soundsystem up & running again! And running with our e hoa Freak Local, Ms Whirimako Black. Whiri christened our new Whakatu studio with vocal takes on 5 tracks the night of Richard Nunn's Tangi in June 2021 - we've got a full Whiri meets Bass & Dub playlist - we’ve road tested 3 1hr sets at our Marahau mini fest. The combo of Whiri with Asterix is a roof lifter.

For All Things Alive album has taken a while. We started writing in Jan 2012 the week of our last Kaikoura Roots festival and finished with the last vocal take from Troy Kingi in Whakatu the day of our Sept 2021 lockdown. The first digi EP from the album is TO LOOK FOR GOLD.”

This will be our 5th Soiree at the lush Old MacDonalds whanau friendly Farm Park in Marahau https://www.oldmacs.co.nz/

AND features the return of the Salmonella Dub Soundsystem with our first show since last Playing Old Mac's the weekend before lockdown 2020.

We also have E hoa Steezy's Touch & Sunshine Soundsystem, Haza th Epic's Soulware set + Ladi J & True Grit.

AND we'll have a 3rd crack at releasing the 3x 12" albums we started writing in Kaikoura the week of the last Roots Fest back in 2012 - Good Cheese Takes Time! - we finished it in Whakatu with the last vocal takes coming from Whirimako Black and Troy Kingi the day of lockdown 2021.

Aotearoa’s Dub & Bass heavy weights, the space weaving Salmonella Dub present a 2hr multimedia dance floor set of the Dub’s classics, alongside a bag of new tunes from their forthcoming album Return to our Kōwhai.

Joining the band on stage for this auspicious Aotearoa spring tour are old time members Conan Wilcox and Tiki Taane plus guests Whirimako Black and Laughton Kora. As Featured artists on the album Tiki, Whirimako and Laughton bring a dynamic vocal power house to the bands huge multi genre live show. This tour is especially auspicious as Tiki will also feature on the desk as dub meister for a bracket of new album tunes as he did when he first joined the band back in 1996.
