Salmonella Dub 1993 original Line up - Dave Deakins, Mark Tyler, Andrew Penman, Pete Wood & Conan Wilcox - ALIVE together for the first time in 21 years! Fresh off the Twominds Festival stage - The originators are back in the studio rehearsing an epic Dub n Bass set with featured guests Whirimako Black, The Mighty Asterix & Salmonella Dub influencer - Beat Rhythm Fashion’s Nino Birch.
Word from the band “We bring a 3hr bag of Dub magic representing with the full live band original circa 1993 line up’s big bag of back cat Dub anthems + new releases with guests Whirimako, Nino & Asterix played back to back with the Salmonella Dub SoundSystem’s heavy weight dance floor remix set. We’ve been working on 2 new live video’s albums Dub Survivors that represent the live track lists for these shows. Dub Survivors Live band Live Album Tracks in the bands set include Dub Survivor, Tomfoolery, For the Love of it, Push on Thru, Slide, Freak Local, Tui Dub, Platetechtonics (Fartyboom), Wytaliba, Johnny. Kiwi Kids R Remix Kids Sal Dub SoundSystem Tracks in the SoundSystem set include Soul Love Trippa, Deep in Southland, Dancehall Girlremixed by Dj Mu, Hooligan, Pleased to Stay home , Colours Dub FX remix, Had Enuf Dread Stylez, Drifting on endorphins, Searching for the Sun. We’ve finally finished remastering our 14hr back Catalogue - it’s been a ruff couple of years for whanau - We’re now completely broke but we are by no means completely broken. Still hopeful peps might wanna go out - even more hopeful a few may be able to give a little and invest in our vinyl - it’s the only thing we got left to get us thru winter. $79 for an EB + 12” no booking fee or GST has to be worth a night out?”
“So cool Nino is joining us!! We used to listen to Beat Rhythm Fashion on RDU in the 4th form. Damned auspicious that Nino is now joining us Live on stage - especially as it’s at same time Pete Wood has returned. The FREAK LOCALS unite - There’s a finished album with Whiri which by accident also includes tracks with Nino. The releases that come with the next shows are closure on a recording process that started with Pete back in 2012. We gave 3 of those tracks Nino to work on after the WHO SNUBBED WHO ? Stuff Dub Snub NZ music awards story went viral. It was the least we could do to uphold the Beat Rhythm Fashion mana.
